The business meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m., and closed session will begin at 1:00 p.m. Please Note: The new meeting location is 15 West Gude Drive, Rockville, Maryland. The meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast Channel 34 (HD 1071), Verizon FIOS Channel 36, and RCN Channel 89. The meeting is rebroadcast at 1:00 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday following the meeting.
The Montgomery County Board of Education announced Dr. Thomas Taylor will be appointed superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools. Dr. Taylor is an MCPS alum. The Board will vote on Dr. Taylor’s appointment at their regularly scheduled June 25 business meeting.
The Montgomery County Board of Education will hold public hearings on November 4 and November 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., to hear testimony regarding the Superintendent’s Recommended FY 2026 Capital Budget and Amendments to the FY 2025–2030 Capital Improvements Program.
